Rispain Self Catering Cottage

Welcome to Rispain Cottage self catering accommodation in the heart of rural, peaceful, Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland. Formally two dairymen's cottages now converted and upgraded into a beautiful relaxing holiday cottage. The accommodation for four people comprises of two bedrooms, a double and a double or two singles. The sitting room with dining area has an open fire, and french doors onto the sun deck. The cottage is situated within fields of rolling pasture, set in its own enclosed acre of land with large front and back gardens and a paddock with a shallow wildlife pond. Everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing has been thought of: tv, video, dvd, cd, microwave, washer/tumble drier, logs and coal for the fire, bed linen and towels, gas bbq, picnic table in the paddock, table chairs and parasol on the sun deck. Location & Travel Information

Rispain Cottage is 1 mile from the historic town of Whithorn in Dumfries & Galloway, South West Scotland. Whithorn's religious history included visits by Scottish Kings and Queens such as Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. The town is still visited by thousands of pilgrims, culminating in the annual pilgrimage to St. Ninian's Cave on the last Sunday in August held by the Catholic Diocese of Galloway. The town has all of the neccessary amenities; a convenience store, newsagents, antique shop, post office, pubs etc, and is 10 minutes from the golf course and quiet beaches at Monreith.
